Juventud en Tránsito proved that education drives change: more than 1,000 students from Pedro Brand designed real solutions to enhance mobility after receiving hands-on and theoretical training in road safety.

Pedro Brand, Dominican Republic – Safer school crossings, community campaigns against cellphone use while driving, proposals for reduced-speed zones near schools, and signage designs adapted for people with visual impairments were some of the innovative ideas showcased by students from this municipality during the proposal presentation event of the Juventud en Tránsito program.

Miguel Barletta, President of Grupo Ambar, and José Miguel González, CEO of Centro Cuesta Nacional, emphasized that Santiago is undergoing a rapid transformation that is positioning it as a key hub for tourism and commercial investment in the region.

The American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) held its traditional luncheon in Santiago de los Caballeros, where prominent business leaders Miguel Barletta, President of Grupo Ambar, and José Miguel González, CEO of Centro Cuesta Nacional, served as guest speakers. Under the theme “Santiago: Potential for Hotel and Commercial Investment”, the event brought together business leaders, government officials, and Chamber members in a high-level forum focused on promoting sustainable development and competitiveness in the Northern Region.
